first_img17 Aug 2017 Esther doubles up at Par 3 championship Hampshire’s Esther Sparrow pulled off a double triumph in the English women’s Par 3 championship, winning the individual title and helping her team to victory at Ampfield Golf Club, in her home county. Esther doubles up at Par 3 championship  This was the second time the trio had played in the competition. “I didn’t have a great round and neither did my team-mates,” remembered Esther. “We were determined to come back and I’m delighted to win, for me and the team. It’s so fantastic that we did that.”  Esther, an eight-handicapper from Blackmoor Golf Club, scored net 55 and won on countback from Celia Woolston of Worldham Park, also in Hampshire.  This was the second time the trio had played in the competition. “I didn’t have a great round and neither did my team-mates,” remembered Esther. “We were determined to come back and I’m delighted to win, for me and the team.
