Click the right arrow above to find out.There are a few surprises in there because, as we all know, statistics alone don’t tell the full story. 11 Centre-back: Ricardo Carvalho (Chelsea) – The Portuguese defender helped keep a clean sheet in 46.7% of his Premier League appearances for the Blues. 11 Goalkeeper: Petr Cech (Chelsea and Arsenal) – Click the right arrow above to see who else makes the greatest Premier League XI based on statistics… – According to statistics, the brilliant Czech goalkeeper has conceded a goal every 116.1 minutes in the Premier League during his career. That is the best record in the Premier League era. 11 Central midfield: Cesc Fabregas (Arsenal, and Chelsea) – One of the Premier Leagues most creative midfielders, Fabregas has managed to make an assist every 223.3 minutes. Striker: Sergio Aguero (Manchester City) – The Argentine star is rated as the second best striker in Premier League history (of those who have made more than 30 appearances), according to minutes per goal statistics. He scores once every 109.8 minutes, which is almost a strike every game. 11 Left-wing: Nani (Manchester United) – He might not have been a fan favourite for the Red Devils but according to the statistics, he consistently produced, managing an assist every 225.9 minutes in the Premier League. Left-back: Emiliano Insua (Liverpool) – Meanwhile, the best left-sided defender based on clean sheet statistics is Arbeloa’s old club-mate Insua, who also boasts of walking off the field having helped keep a clean sheet in 43.5% of his Premier League appearances. 11 11 Centre-back: Tony Adams (Arsenal) – A legendary defender, the Englishman helped keep a clean sheet in 45.1% of his Premier League appearances. Central midfield: Mesut Ozil (Arsenal) – Some know Germany star Ozil as the assist king, but he didnt come top of our list of the Premier Leagues greatest creators. He did do enough to make this XI, though, as he made a goal every 235.5 minutes. Right-back: Alvaro Arbeloa (Liverpool and West Ham) – In our list of defenders with the best clean sheet record, in 43.5% of the games Arbeloa played, his team didn’t concede a goal the joint-best record of any full-back who’s played more than 30 games in the Premier League. Right-wing: Kevin De Bruyne (Chelsea and Manchester City) – Belgian star De Bruyne has managed an assist every 179.2 minutes in the Premier League, which is the best record of any midfielder since the divisions inception. 11 11 11 11 11 Striker: Kelechi Iheanacho (Manchester City) – Just sneaking into our list, with 46 appearances in the Premier League, it turns out the Nigerian star is the striker with the best minutes per goal ratio, getting one every 106.5 minutes. Impressive.
